Peter Pan

You know there is something so wonderful about Barrie's tale of Peter Pan. It's so strange that I woke up today with the sudden urge to read the book. Unfortunately, I do not own any of the Pan adventures. So, I dud the next best thing... Pull out every film that I have from Disney's animated to Hook to Mary Martin' live performance to Finding Neverland etc. There's something so uplifting about the story. Something so brilliant and magical that you cannot help but to feel like a child again. Where life is a never-ending adventure and anything is possible...even flight.
I want to begin paintings off the Barrie stories. Those stories and films based on them, are so magical. Maybe it's partly because I'm another year older. Or maybe it's because I needed to find that inner-child again. Whatever the reasons, it's nice to reflect and remember the imagination and heart within us. Sometimes I think that's what's missing from all of our lives. We just need that happy thought that allows us to fly.

The new card set is officially Finished!

The holidays have just been spent working constantly to finish gifts for others... while also trying to produce some things for my Etsy Store.
I have a few new projects coming up that I'm very excited about (I'll get to those in another blog.

Below I have added photos of the new card set I just completed based of an ongoing series of paintings inspired by my dear friend Kundavega that passed away last month. She inspired me to do the series and now I feel has inspired me to continue it as holiday cards; she would totally buy these!
